The Suurbaare Foundation is a Community Foundation that serves as a grant maker, convener, and leadership organization for the people of Puffion, Nandom and the Upper West Region of Ghana. We work with individuals and non-profits to address the unique opportunities and challenges in our region.
About The Suurbaare Foundation
Our History
The Suurbaare Foundation, named in honor of the late Mr. Gerald Suurbaare, is a dynamic Community Foundation dedicated to serving the people of Puffion, Nandom, and the Upper West Region of Ghana. Founded by his six children, the Foundation is committed to honoring their father’s legacy through initiatives that promote sustainable development, equity, and empowerment. The Foundation’s mission is encapsulated in its role as a grant maker, convener, and leadership organization, which seeks to address the unique opportunities and challenges faced by the region.
What We Stand For
We are proud of our vibrant, multi strategic community foundation and welcomes donors and partners to help build the community under the GERALD effect consisting of 6 tenets of : General welfare, Education, Rural-Development Agribusiness, Leadership and Digitalization.
